You Can Edit Photos at the Library!
Submitted by soda on October 15, 2008 - 7:30pm.
Do you have some photos that aren't quite right? Do you need to design a logo or create a poster for an event? The library is here to help! All of our patron computers have new photo editing and illustration software installed on them.
Gimp is a photo editor that is very similar to Photoshop. You can crop, resize, remove red-eye, sharpen, etc. You can use Gimp for digital scrapbooking, web graphics, and logo design.
Inkscape is a vector illustration program similar to Adobe Illustrator. It is very easy to use and very fun! You can create simple to complex drawings, logos, etc., and apply all kinds of neat filters and effects. Inkscape comes with a built in tutorial to help you learn it fast.
Come in and give these programs a try, you just might like them.
